Pair your anti-cheat
Your anti-cheat proves it is yours with a key it generates on your own PC. Pairing is how that key gets attached to this account: hubmix gives you one short-lived code, you hand it over once, and the anti-cheat does the rest.
Anti-cheat pairing
Reading what hubmix can see of this PC…
Treat the code like a password
It binds a machine to your account
The anti-cheat that redeems the code enrols its own key under your account and heartbeats as you from then on. That is the whole point of the code, and the whole reason it must not be seen by anyone else.
It lives minutes, then dies unused
The countdown on the card is the server’s own window. When it runs out the code stops working whether or not anybody used it — a code that leaked is worthless once the clock ends.
It is shown once and stored nowhere
hubmix keeps only a hash of it, and this page keeps the code in memory alone — no cache, no address bar, no storage. Reload and it is gone for good; there is no way to look it up again, for you or for anybody else.
A pairing can be taken back by pairing again
Codes cannot be recalled — but enrolling a new key immediately supersedes the previous one, so an installation somebody else paired with your code stops being accepted the moment you pair again. Then tell support, because that machine’s fingerprint reached your account.
Why hubmix asks for this at all
An anti-cheat that only says “I am running” can be imitated by anything able to reach the server as you. A paired one signs every heartbeat with a key that never leaves your machine and a counter that only moves forward, so a copied or replayed heartbeat is rejected. That is the difference between a claim and a proof, and ranked matches are decided on the proof.
Not installed yet, or the anti-cheat will not start? The anti-cheat page covers the download, the install and the usual Windows prompts.
